As a young adult Carter Hortie put all his efforts into a motorcycle road racing career spanning ten years and a marriage spanning ten months. When the scars had healed, he decided to get funny. Born under the Leo sign, Carter has always sought attention and although motorcycle racing was always exciting, he had the most fun during his trophy acceptance speeches.
Carter’s first interest in stand-up comedy was as a young boy when he would sneak out of his room to watch Johnny Carson after the family had gone to bed. Now he the highly talented comedian, who can take hold of the entire audience in the first minute, and have them in the palm of his hand for the whole act.
In the summer of 1992 he walked on to a comedy stage and hasn't looked back. He has shared the stage with such legendary performers as Bob Saget, Dave Chappel, Tommy Chong, Robin Williams, Ric Overton, Bobcat Goldthwaite, Brent Butt, Patton Oswald and Gilbert Gottfried.
Carter is a unique and successful comedian well practiced in the art of satirical social commentary and delivers it with passion and commitment. He has toured extensively through North America performing in festivals, clubs and for an array corporate and charity events.
