Cellar Live History
After opening The Cellar Restaurant and Jazz Club, Cory Weeds noticed how much quality music was booming out of his venue. However there was a problem, music was going through one ear and leaving through the next. The performances just became memories. Weeds wanted to record these sounds, and share them with the world. So in 2001, he established Cellar Live.
Present Day
Since 2001, Cellar Live has released thirty three CDs and counting. Weeds is getting compliments from all sides, and has received rave reviews from a variety of sources. Cellar Live has substantially assisted in the success of The Cellar Restaurant and Jazz Club, and its performers. These CDs really promoted the quality sounds of the performers.
"In my 35 years of playing professionally in the Vancouver music scene, I would consider Cory to be the most successful and important promoter and producer of Canadian Jazz in the Vancouver area."
- Oliver Gannon
"The hardest working man in the jazz-business!"
- Kate Hammett-Vaughan
