Ginette has begun to make a name for herself in her home province of British Columbia. She was a first round finalist in the David Foster Star Search in Vancouver 2006 and was later invited to accompany Canadian Idol, Melissa O’Neil and Patricia Conroy on a Canadian Forces tour overseas to perform for our troops. Ginette was the only artist in the troupe who could perform in English, Spanish and French much to the delight of the soldiers in Montreal, Belgium, Germany, and Egypt. 2007 saw Ginette performing at local Vancouver clubs, restaurants and music festivals, hightlighted with an appearance during the “Songwriters in the Round” segment on the Main Stage of the Merritt Mountain Music Festival. Ginette shared the Merritt spotlight with Nashville “hit” writers, Chris Tompkins (writer of Carrie Underwood’s smash BEFORE HE CHEATS), Steve Seskin (songs recorded by Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw), Grammy Award winner John Vezner and “Writers in the Round” producer, Ron Irving (Michael Bublé, Anne Murray). This is just the tip of the iceberg for Ginette…This girl is here to stay…
With the release of her debut EP, “Tomboy Girl,” Ginette Genereux is set to launch her career onto the national and international stage.
She says it best in her own words, “ I can’t picture living my life any other way… the amazing energy you feel from the audience is the most unique and precious thing in the world…I’m totally hooked!” |
