Born and raised in Camrose, Alberta and now living in Vancouver, Paul Myrehaug lures his audience with charismatic charm, turns around and makes them laugh at things they know they shouldn’t. Fast wit at a slow pace leaves crowds in hysterics and begging for more.
In 2002 Paul was armed with a marketing diploma and a dream. That dream has driven him to abandon conventional work in favour of stand-up comedy and all its glories. Paul is described as a party-comic. His style is laid back and relaxed, he makes audiences comfortable and at ease in their soft seat theatre, casino club or local bar.
Paul has toured extensively from roughneck bars in Fort McMurray, Alberta to the Dominican Republic to performing for the US troops in Iraq and Kuwait, making him capable of bringing laughter and fun to anyone, anywhere.
In 2006 Paul came in 2nd in the infamous Seattle International Comedy Competition and in 2007 he went on to win the prestigious $25,000 Yuk Yuk’s Great Canadian Laugh Off. Out of 64 of Canada’s top comics, Paul Myrehaug was crowned champion! He has since performed at Montreal’s Just For Laughs and every other Comedy Festival in Canada. In 2008 his one hour television special on CTV’s Comedy Now! was aired. Bringing him rave reviews and acclaim.
Paul tours internationally and has performed for hundreds of thousands of people live and millions of people on television.
In addition to his solo stand-up show Paul is a part of ‘Best of The West’; a trio of award winning stand-up headliners, ready to bring you to your knees! He is also a member of the sketch comedy group The Haug and Tschrids Show; Paul Myrehaug and Damonde Tschritter hilariously tease, play and mock what some may find sacred.
