Being born in Victoria BC didn’t stop this clever story-telling comic from dreaming of one day becoming a goalie for the Edmonton Oilers. Alas, he put it aside when he discovered the thrill of connecting with an audience through laughter. Todd’s comedy is best expressed as real and conversational, as if he is telling a story to a group of friends.
Todd Allen has been delivering his unique stories laced with perceptive punch lines since 2000, with sought after success. Touring across the continent he has performed in prestigious events such as the ‘Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, ‘Best in Canadian Stand up Tour’, ‘Halifax Comedy Festival’, the ‘Vancouver Comedy Festival’ and ‘Comedy Now’. Comedy Now has become a TV calling card for comedic success. It has helped pave the way for numerous Canadian writer/comedians including Brent Butt, Roman Danylo, and Elvira Kurt. Comedy Now has featured more than 100 comics and won numerous accolades.In 2008 Todd became the first Vancouver-based comic to appear on a US late night talk show when he guested on the ‘Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson’.
Todd is currently touring his one-man show called “Who the Hell is Todd Allen”. It is receiving rave reviews as a “straight stand-up performance with a major twist”. In addition to his stand-up, Todd is also in high demand for private and corporate events.
